Tin is a soft, silvery white metal but it with lead, zinc is very similar, but it looks to be brighter. Its hardness is
relatively low, you can cut it with a knife. It has good ductility, especially at a temperature of 100ºC, can develop into a very
thin foil, the thickness can be as thin as 0.04mm or less.

Main uses:
1. It can be used as coating material and has a wide range of applications in food, machinery, electrical appliances, automotive, aerospace and other industrial sectors.
2. In float glass production, molten glass floats on the surface of a molten tin pool to cool and solidify.
3. Tin is easily bound to iron. It is used as an anticorrosive coating for lead, zinc and steel. Tin-coated steel tanks are mostly used for food storage, which is an important market for tin metal.
