USE: Silicomanganese alloy is mainly used as the intermediate material of deoxidizer and alloying agent for steel production, and is also the main raw material for the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese. Silicomanganese alloy is composed of manganese, silicon, iron and a small amount of carbon and other elements. Its consumption accounts for the second place of electric furnace ferroalloy products. Silicon and manganese in silicomanganese alloy have a strong affinity with oxygen. When silicomanganese alloy is used in steelmaking, the deoxidation products MnSiO3 and MnSiO4 melting are respectively 1270ºC and 1327ºC, which have the advantages of low melting point, large particle size, easy floating and good deoxidation effect.
